Staff Response to Written Comments

This comment response matrix includes written comments received by 5 p.m. on August 9, 2017. Due to the large volume of comments submitted on August 9 (over 750!), staff did not finish responding to all comments, but we will continue to work on these diligently and post them as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience.

Don't worry! Written comments for City Council consideration will be taken anytime. To be included in staff responses for consideration by Councilors at the second Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (LUPZ) hearing, please submit written comments by Wednesday, August 30 at 5 p.m.

Council's Land Use, Planning, & Zoning Committee Hearings

LUPZ will hear the Integrated Development Ordinance at least three times, beginning in August 2017. The scheduled dates, locations, and purposes are below.
Please note that the second and third hearings have been pushed back by two weeks and will take place in the Council Chambers.
  • Hearing #1: August 16, 5 p.m., Vincent E. Griego Chambers, to take public comments
  • Hearing #2: September 13, 5 p.m., Vincent E. Griego Chambers, to discuss public comments
  • Hearing #3: September 27, 5 p.m., Vincent E. Griego Chambers,
    to take public comment and finalize recommended changes to the LUPZ draft 
IDO LUPZ Draft

The LUPZ committee will review the the IDO and the Zoning Conversion Map.

Both would be adopted by Ordinance 17-49.

Hard copies of the IDO LUPZ Draft are available for checkout from the Planning Department or for review at ABC libraries and City senior, multigenerational, and community centers.

The Zoning Conversion Map now reflects Conditions of Approval from the Environmental Planning Commission.
