I do not live in the immediate vacinity of the school so I really can't comment on this particular aspect of the project, BUT...I can't help but wonder how parents would not be concerned about their kids walking to and from school when there are NO SIDEWALKS in the neighborhood.  
   
  To me, this is a major safety concern and I'm wondering if anything is planned on being done to allevitate this hazard?
