Subject: Wireless Telecommunications Facilities - Upcoming Text Amendments


Dear Councilor Harris,

The Coalition of NA's - District 4 - last night unanimously endorsed your proposed amendment to Zoning Code Section 14-16-3-17.  Some of our members have been insistent for some time for changes to aforementioned section.  Accordingly, the Coalition similarly endorsed an addition to your amendment, to wit:  (Wording to the effect) that would require proposed cell towers to be incorporated with existing towers in the area, require developers to investigate ALL available potential sites within 1/2 mile of the proposed site as alternatives, and be required to notify and work with surrounding NA's to ensure a cooperative and compatible development.
