Hello NENA Board and NENA neighbors and Gloria Chavez

Thanks Leilani...it needs to go to Gloria Chavez...Gloria, can we email the support letter to you or do you want snail mail?  Please see Gloria's email address in the cc line.

The letter needs to state NENA Boardmembers and all those who responded (10 people so far) are in agreement to renovate the Nor Este Monument (fill cracks and paint...it was already done by the city!---thanks for such speedy service) and we want the junipers and one tree removed and replaced with 3-4 drought tolerant plants that were suggested by Gloria Chavez, along with the crusher fine for the lower level and rock gravel for the raised bed.  The city has also agreed to maintain the plants and they will be watered with the existing drip irrigation system.  As a reminder, the junipers are water hogs, generate pollen, and looking distressed.

If anyone on the board or in the neighborhood does not agree with the plan let me know soon...I only heard from 2 other boardmembers!  Leilani and Mike, I believe.

Thanks Leilani...I apologize...I didn't mean to sound so harsh.  I was pressed for time and looking over my previous email to you I sound pushy.

  Yes I am.  Not a problem.  I will get them a letter out immediately.   Can you please give me a name and/or address/department of where I need to send it to and if there are any references I need to make.   I can guarantee the letter will be done this weekend and get mailed first thing Monday morning.

    Leilani, are you the acting president still?  I want to wrap up the issue with the Nor Este monument park plantings and have not heard from you.  The city wants a signed letter from the NENA president stating we are in support of their plan to plant drought tolerant plants in and around the monument.  
    They will not proceed until they get a letter.
