Here is a note from Amy and Heather on how EPC went today.  I think that the
light at the end of the tunnel is now starting to come into sight.

Subject: EPC Public Hearing on Del Rey

 

Bambi,

 

Please let everyone know that the City Environmental Planning Commision
(EPC) held the Public Hearing for the proposed Monterra Del Rey
redevelopment today (October 18,2007). In a vote of 4 to 1 it has been
recommended for approval. Now it will go before the Development Review Board
(DRB) for final approval. There are still many things that need to be worked
on such as the financing to finalize this project, but the approval of the
site plan and rezoning for Monterra Del Rey will take residents one step
closer. 

If anyone has thoughts/questions/comments please call 480-1441.

 

This is not over yet, but finally we are moving forward.

Also want to note the great support that we had today from Joe Y. (Nor
Este), Albuquerque Meadows NA, Academy North NA, Jade Park NA, and Saw Mil.
The president of the Condo HOA that is on the south side of Del Rey also got
up and spoke, but his only concern was that he was not notified.

Thank you for all for your continuing support it has help keep us going.
