[NENA] DANGER -illegal fireworks

Dear Neighbors:
 
There's a report in July 4 ABQ Journal - "City Gets Tough on Fireworks". 
 
I tried to grab it off http://ww.abqjournal.com to send to you, but the Journal webmaster did not post the report. So, here's my summary:
 

It's not only illegal to shoot-off fireworks that are louder than a cap gun, or shoot-off fireworks higher than 10 feet or shoot-out more than 6 feet --- it's illegal to possess these fireworks. 

Possessing these illegal fireworks will result in up to 90 days in jail, and a $500 fine.

ABQ Fire Chief Robert Ortega said, "We want to make a bigger impact this year on people who use and have illegal fireworks." Firefighters wrote 20 citations on July 1-2, most for possession.

APD has hundreds of officers scheduled to work overtime this weekend. One additional thing they will be looking for is illegal fireworks.
 
Report illegal fireworks - call 311.
 
If any of these fireworks come down on a flat roof house, they're hot enough to start a fire.
