To all concerned - no one seems to be considering the existing school traffic situation on Barstow. There is already considerable school rush hour traffic from La Cueva. Desert Ridge is an even greater concern. There are many parents parking on Barstow and in the surrounding neighborhoods in the morning and afternoon - with many kids crossing Barstow going to and from their cars. In addition, there are many kids who cross Barstow when they walk to school from nearby homes.
Obviously, adding the bridge will increase the through traffic on an already busy Barstow - and increase the risk to our kids. When planning our neighborhood, we should keep the safety as a primary concern.
