<P>I tried to grab it off <A href="http://ww.abqjournal.com">http://ww.abqjournal.com</A> to send to you, but the Journal webmaster did not post the report. <STRONG><U>So, here's my summary</U></STRONG>:</P>

<LI>It's not only illegal to shoot-off fireworks that are louder than a cap gun, or shoot-off fireworks higher than 10 feet or shoot-out more than 6 feet --- <STRONG><U>it's illegal to possess these fireworks</U></STRONG>. <BR></LI>
<LI>Possessing these illegal fireworks will result in up to 90 days in jail, and a $500 fine.<BR></LI>
<LI>ABQ Fire Chief Robert Ortega said, "We want to make a bigger impact this year on people who use and have illegal fireworks." Firefighters wrote 20 citations on July 1-2, <U><STRONG>most for possession</STRONG></U>.<BR></LI>
<LI>APD has hundreds of officers scheduled to work overtime this weekend. <STRONG><U>One additional thing they will be looking for is illegal fireworks</U></STRONG>.</LI></OL>

<P>If any of these fireworks come down on a flat roof house, they're hot enough to start a fire.</P>
